Madelyn experienced her first horse show Wednesday evening. She had a great time and is looking forward to participating in another! She started riding last November and she has learned so much with Christy at Hanoverdale Farm. How are we going to keep up with this young lady?? Madelyn's day started around 2pm, she had to bathe Mist, clean the tack and pack the trailer. We left the show around 9pm and Madelyn was so excited to have participated in her first show.
She participated in 3 "Flat classes" two of them were walk and trot and one was walk, trot and canter. She won a 4th place ribbon in a walk/trot class where the riders were judged. She also won a 6th place ribbon in a walk/trot class where the horse was judged. She did great competing against other experienced riders for the first time!

She was so stinkin excited! This was her 4th place ribbon out of 14 or so riders.
I must have asked a million questions to anyone and everyone around me about what was going on. Even though I watch her weekly at her lessons, the shows are all new to us!
