Block Party, Fun Times, Tears and Joy!

We had a block party this past Sunday and it was a beautiful evening. Personally, I must say for most of the cookout I had a lump in my throat, knowing this would be our very last gathering together with our neighborhood.
Even thinking about how our time hear was coming to a close I was able to answer many questions about the process we have been in starting a church in PA and what the past year has brought into our lives. I just couldn't help but to be overwhelmed with all the Lord has done this year and the anticipation of what He will do in the years to come. We couldn't help but to reminisce over the past several years about all our fun times as friends.  From numerous block parties, smores at Halloween, putting boo signs on neighbors doors, Christmas parties, Birthday parties, Yard sales, fire pit nights, 4th of July gatherings (missing Caleb as I type this one!), spending time helping one another with home repairs, evening gatherings in the cul-de-sac, adults joining in on a game of basketball and not to mention all the spontaneous cookouts and just hanging out.
Flooded with sweet memories, I am so thankful God brought us to this neighborhood. I certainly, am thankful for this cozy 1400 square foot home with our family of 6 stuffed inside. We fell in love with the people here and it no longer mattered about having a bigger or more convenient house to spread out in.  We have made many friends over the years, we have loved on one another through many of life's difficult times and have celebrated many of life's joys as well.  There have been lots of babies born on our street and we have also had the chance to care for one another in sickness.
I have learned much in my walk with the Lord here, to share the ups and downs with the people who you live beside. It's not always pretty, and it's not always bad but its real life that we all experience together.
Brewers Glynn neighborhood, we will miss sharing our lives together day in and day out and I'm thankful that we will still have the privilege of continuing to pray for you even after we pack our boxes. You and all the kids have been lifted up in prayer numerous times over the years and it will continue even after we are gone.
We love you guys!

Wow! I can't believe our girls are all growing up. All the sleepovers, dressing up, fixing hair, drawing, crafting, playing out in the rain, baking, jumping on the trampoline, dancing....

We moved into the neighborhood when Breanna was 7 years old. These guys have spent a lot of time together throughout the years.

cute!

The kids gathered together to divide into teams to play capture the flag.

cheese!

Great conversations, and it was cool to meet our new neighbor Ryan. He fit right into the mix.

Some of the kids sitting on the trampoline reminiscing about making "kidville" in the cul-de-sac and games they played growing up

I tried very hard to get a picture of the triplets when they were free from the stoller but they are very busy!!!

We had a little dance party while we were cleaning up. Such fun times. Lacey in the midst of dancing  said I can't believe you guys are moving and started tearing up.  We ALL lost it and tears and hugs for everyone.

Trying to line dance in preparation for prom (its the only dance Bre is allowed to do he he)

  3. So cool! You and your family have touched so many lives - like ours! It's awesome how you have allowed God to use you in such extraordinary ways and I know He will continue to do so as you begin your new ministry. You're a special family and you will be missed! Hugs from the Deadwylers!
