Logan's Day Out

Day # 2

Billy and I are taking each of the kids out this week for a special day to themselves to celebrate the past 10yrs here in NC.  We have had so much fun planning their special days and the kids have been so excited for their siblings when they get to have their days. Here are some pics from Logan's Special Day Out.

We took Logan bowling for our first activity.  We rolled quite a few gutter balls, a few strikes and not to mention our granny rolls! Lots of laughs and our highly competitive son wanted the winning score.

Logan thought the shoes were pretty funny, He even busted out the moon walk a few times.

Logan tried all different balls and not to mention one too heavy that rolled behind him or it just could be those fat little fingers that got stuck.

Logan has cute paws for fingers.I just love holding his chubby little hand. He is 100% boy and 100% affectionate.

We headed to the North Carolina History Museum.
We explored the area of "The story of North Carolina" Logan asked the guide several questions and was fascinated with the artifacts. She was showing Logan a spear and how the Indians would throw them. Our wild at heart boy was very attentive.
In most of the pictures Logan was pointing with his face pressed against the glass, asking questions and reading all the information.

North Carolina Pirates exhibit...yes he was fascinated.
He was amazed at all the canons on Blackbeard's Ship, The Queen Anne's Revenge

He would still be at the Museum if we didn't redirect a few times to the next exhibit.

The reason we chose the History Museum was for the Sports Hall of Fame. We had thought that we would go to this exhibit and he would have been ready to leave however he surprised us with his deep interest in exploring all the exhibits.

I don't think he missed a single exhibit. We talked about leaving a legacy, leaving your print on this world.

He stared at the guns made by "Carbine" Williams who made them while he was in prison. There was a room that had been built to show what the gunsmiths room looked liked.  On the wall was a variety of deer, and buffalo.  Logan said why would you shoot a buffalo?( he knows you don't shoot if your not planning on eating it) I said Logan people eat buffalo.  He then proceeded to say "ohh yeah I have had buffalo remember those buffalo chips I had the other day?!?!"
he he I love those moments.....

We walked around and in the state capitol.

He took this picture for his granddaddy, its the North Carolina Vietnam Veterans' Memorial.
Logan chose Mellow Mushroom for dinner.  His eyes were  heavy...

...okay his eyes were very heavy! We had already bought tickets to the next event!

Logan is the movie goer in our family.  When he opened the doors to the IMAX 3D movie theater in Raleigh.  He let out a big YESSS!

We ended the night with a milkshake from Cookout.

Can you believe that WE wore him out??????

Whew! Day 2 down and 2 more to go so stay tuned for highlights from Maddy's day, it was a dog-gone good time!

14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
   your works are wonderful,
   I know that full well.
