Snow Bowl- Way to go Susquehanna Indians!

We finished up Logan's football season in the snow.  It was an interesting day for sure, we are very proud of the boys for a great season. All the boys improved on the field and worked hard to participate in the Superbowl. Here are a few pictures of the game... it's one they will never forget!

We stayed in the bleachers until the game started then we stuck it out on the sidelines with the kids once the game began.  We all sacrificed our gloves hats, coats and any other article of clothing that could provide warmth and comfort to our boys as they plowed through the slow.

It was a cold sloshy mess, your toes didn't stand a chance of staying dry.

The kids didn't need any reminders to keep the huddle tight today!  The coaches did all they could to help keep the kids hands warm... (This is Billy with Logan stuffing his hands under dad's jacket)

Lots of great hits despite the dread of not wanting to fall to the ground

Logan has the black dangly gloves (Billy's) next to the QB. He took turns with another kid playing QB because getting tackled was cold and painful. Here Logan appears to be focused and ready to take the kid down. Logan told us later this kid called him a name so Logan said he "smashed him" on the next play.

The snow was coming down so hard, it was difficult to take pictures because the camera wouldn't focus.

Here Milt had a great run however the ending appears somewhat painful......

Ouch! kids falling face first into the snow, packing snow into their face mask.... This made for some cold noses and cheeks.

It's difficult to watch even the other team, experience a helmet full of snow! However, Logan's friend Smitty stands proudly over his victim.

Tough kids...all the way around. A few tears by the end but this is sure to be a game they will not soon forget!

Logan staying focused, football is not for wimps for sure....I am proud of Logan and the boys. I'm also very thankful for all the coaches who sacrificed so much time to teach our boys.  We started football practice the week after we moved to PA, it was very busy to have nightly practices and still unpacking boxes however it was worth all the time. We are so thankful to have been a part of the Susquehanna Township football organization. We have met many parents and certainly have felt an immediate connection to the community. We have a small break in our schedule before we start basketball. This won't be as intense as  football preseason however we will have Maddy and Logan both playing so I'm sure things will gear up in a couple weeks.
