The kids were out of school for Columbus day so we headed out for some family fun.
Our first stop!
We went to the UTZ factory for a free tour
Olivia said "THAT is a LOT of chips!"
It was very interesting to watch the potatoes being unloaded on a belt going directly in the factory and seeing the finished product being boxed up and packed on trucks. This was a self guided tour, you simply pushed a red button beside the windows and it talked about the process.
on to our next stop with a BIG box of chips!
Passing by farm land, it was S.T.I.N.K.Y.!!
We stopped in the Harley Davidson store and factory. FYI you have to be 12 years and older to go on the tour so we looked around the show room and picked out a few bikes to our liking.
Off to the next stop!
This is such a great farm, one we will have to come back to again. Very reasonable prices, fun activities and a real pumpkin patch.
So the adventure begins...we are looking for red poles that have a hole punch with letters to spell out Castle.
At times you can have some panic set in when you turn and don't see anyone around in the middle of a corn field.
So, Logan walked up holding a huge corn shock so we could find him if we got separated.
I just want to hold tight to these memories. Take a deep breath and treasure them.
ohh yes the pole! the pole! the pole!!!!!
ohh my, some entertainment in the middle a corn field, there wasn't enough to cover his head.
I couldn't resist getting a few photos!
in the middle of the corn field, taking a moment to enjoy our surroundings
all the letters are found...ummm an hour later so how do we get out of this thing???? Can we put Olivia up higher to find our way out??
We all were very ready to get out and we were racing to see who could get out first. Logan came running around the corner only to discover he just ran in a huge circle.....wrong way buddy!
The race to find out who can get out first! Somehow Maddy and Breanna found their way out first. I thought I was going to go crazy and was so happy to get out!
So free, so much fun...ohh let this day never end!
Nope we still have pumpkins to pick!
ohh and the view, I think I have a new favorite season here in PA. The trees are starting to change and it is
BeaUtiFUll!
Olivia was the first to find her pumpkin...so happy
Maddy searched long and hard for her perfect pumpkin
fun times!
So many pumpkins! What a great farm.
Logan was such a trooper, pulling all 'punkins' big and small
Behold, children are a gift of the LORD, The fruit of the womb is a reward. Psalm 127:3
I could have no greater joy than to hear that my children are following the truth. 3 John 1:4
Love these pictures...thanks for sharing such a special day...felt like I was there with you...and wishing I really was! Would love to see the trees as they turn colors. I know they will be gorgeous!
